Chane Socarras PLLC obtains $2.1 million final judgment in favor of Affiliate Network in Federal Court Contract Dispute

After successfully dismissing the defendants’ Counterclaims and succeeding on summary judgment on its damages claims pending before the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Florida, Chane Socarras PLLC litigation attorneys Ruben Socarras, Jonathan Chane and Nicole Oden, obtained a final judgment in excess of $2.1 million in favor of their client, an affiliate network and marketing firm.

The case arises from a contentious contractual dispute involving the defendants’ violations of a settlement agreement in which the parties had resolved previous commercial litigation stemming from the an advertiser’s nonpayment of the network’s services and violations of a marketing agreement . After more than three years since the original federal court litigation, the Court ruled in favor of the affiliate network finding that the opposing parties are responsible for the full amount due from the previous litigation, prejudgment interest, and prevailing party attorneys’ fees and costs.
