Jonathan Chane

Jonathan Chane, a founding member of Chane Socarras, PLLC, is a civil trial attorney whose practice is dedicated to representing a wide range of clients, from individuals to business professionals and corporations in disputes before state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute forums. Jonathan left a large, international law firm so he could provide personal attention and the highest quality of legal services to a small number of clients. In his practice, Jonathan represents individuals and businesses in complex civil litigation. This litigation includes financial and complex business disputes, real estate and construction litigation and appeals of residential and commercial property taxes.

Before establishing his own firm, Jonathan was an attorney with Dominick Cunningham & Whalen, where he focused on the areas of civil litigation, nursing home abuse and personal injury. Prior to that, he was a shareholder at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, PA, where for 15 years he represented clients through a wide variety of complex business and commercial litigation matters. Jonathan also served as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting criminal cases in the 12th Judicial Circuit of Florida. His professionalism and experience has earned him an AV Rating from Martindale Hubbel and“Top Lawyer” status from the South Florida Legal Guide.  Jonathan has also been selected to the Florida SuperLawyers in 2018 and 2019 in the area of Business Litigation, an exclusive list of top-rated attorneys in specific practice areas who are chosen after thorough evaluation of numerous criteria.

Jonathan devotes a significant amount of time to his community and charitable activities. In 2016, Jonathan’s passion for public service led him to run for United States Congress to represent Florida’s 18th Congressional District, which includes Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties. Organizations that endorsed Jonathan included the Florida AFL-CIO, Service Employees Union International (SEIU), International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Florida Alliance for Retired Americans, National Organization for Women, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, Palm Beach County Clean Water Defenders, Progressive Democratic Caucus of Florida and Democracy for America (DFA). He continues to bring the same energy that he brought to his race for Congress to fighting for his clients.

Additionally, Jonathan is the immediate past President of the Board of Trustees of Temple Judea in Palm Beach Gardens and is active in the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. He has also volunteered his time providing pro bono legal representation to Holocaust ghetto survivors seeking reparations from the German government and to children and young adults aging out of the Palm Beach County foster care system.

Jonathan’s professional associations include the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Martin County Bar Association.
